BUNKAIO is the craft of a professional portrait photographer: a mobile photography studio based in Montpellier that comes to you with high-end equipment to create premium images for people, brands and companies. I dreaded the session, like most people do. Bunkaio took exactly the time needed for me to forget the camera was there — these photos look nothing like any profile picture I've had before. I finally recognise myself in them.
I was afraid my jewellery would look cold in photos. The opposite happened — each piece feels almost alive. My customers tell me they could "feel" the material before even opening the box.
No one on the team likes having their photo taken. Bunkaio managed to capture 40 people who have never looked so natural. Our annual report finally has a soul.

We walked through old Lyon for an hour, never really posing. The result is the most honest portrait anyone has ever taken of me. My friends keep telling me so.
We'd had our products photographed elsewhere before, without much conviction. With Bunkaio, we finally understood why some brands make you want to buy and others don't. It's a matter of light, patience, and a certain eye.

Aya Nascimento is a professional portrait photographer, a graduate of ETPA (BTS Photography, 2018). She is the photographer of BUNKAIO.
Specialised in fashion, product, corporate and event photography, she works with individuals, brands and companies, delivering premium high-definition images, carefully retouched.
A mobile studio in Occitanie
BUNKAIO is based in Montpellier and travels anywhere in France: the shoot takes place at your place, outdoors or, as an option, in the studio (+€60). Travel is free within 30 km of Montpellier, of Toulouse and in western Hérault. Elsewhere it is charged at €0.60 per km, round trip, on the distance exceeding those 30 km, rounded to the nearest €5, up to a long-distance flat rate capped at €350 (estimates: Nîmes ≈ €35, Carcassonne ≈ €70, Perpignan ≈ €80, Paris €350). The online quote calculates the amount from the session city; it is confirmed on your quote, before you sign anything.

General terms of sale
Answers to the most frequently asked questions, along with our commitments on data privacy and image/video usage rights.
These general terms of sale apply to all photography and video services provided by BUNKAIO, a French sole proprietorship (Aya Nascimento), SIRET 951 547 587 00034, France, to private clients (consumers) as well as business clients.
Each service is covered by a personalised quote. If these terms differ from the signed quote, the signed quote prevails. Placing an order implies acceptance of these terms.

The quote is free and valid for the period stated on the document. It specifies the service, the planned date and place, the delivery time, the price, the rights granted and any special conditions.
The order becomes binding when the client signs the quote electronically (name, date, time, IP address and quote fingerprint are recorded as proof). A signed copy is sent by email.
Prices are in euros. BUNKAIO benefits from the French VAT exemption for small businesses: VAT not applicable, art. 293 B of the French Tax Code (CGI); the prices shown are net prices, with no VAT to add, and match the amount actually invoiced. The price that applies is the one on the signed quote. Any travel costs (beyond 30 km around Montpellier or in western Hérault, €0.60 ≈ $0.66 per km round trip, capped at €350 ≈ $385) are specified in it.
On the English version of the site, the US dollar amounts shown next to euro prices (“≈ $”) are given for information only, to help you calculate your budget. They come from an approximate conversion and have no contractual value: only the euro prices, those on the signed quote, are invoiced.
Unless the quote says otherwise: a 30% deposit is payable on signature (it reserves the date and time slot); the 70% balance is invoiced once the photos are ready, and paying it gives access to the album.
Payment methods: bank card, or interest-free payment in 3 instalments with Klarna, subject to eligibility. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; BUNKAIO does not store any card data.
"Studio Continu" subscription: monthly billing by bank card, with no deposit or balance, under the conditions set out in the quote.
Business clients: any late payment automatically incurs penalties at three times the legal interest rate and a flat recovery fee of €40 ≈ $44 (art. L441-10 of the French Commercial Code).
The deposit reserves the date and time slot. Once the quote is accepted, it is retained by BUNKAIO and not refunded if the client cancels.
The client may reschedule once, free of charge, with at least 7 days' notice; beyond that, or for a second rescheduling, a new deposit may be requested.
If BUNKAIO is unable to attend, or in case of force majeure (illness, weather for an outdoor session), the service is rescheduled free of charge to a date agreed together.
BUNKAIO performs the service with care and has artistic freedom within the agreed framework. The client makes sure to be present, on time, and to provide the necessary information.
Visuals are delivered in a private Adobe Lightroom album (the client creates an Adobe Lightroom account), within the time stated in the quote. One round of corrections is included; additional requests are billed at a rate agreed in advance.
BUNKAIO selects and retouches the delivered visuals; unselected files and source (RAW) files are not transferred. Delivered files are kept for 12 months after delivery: the client is invited to export and back them up.
BUNKAIO retains all of its copyright, including moral rights. Usage rights (reproduction and representation) are granted to the client within the limits set out in the quote: purpose, scope, territory and duration (art. L131-3 of the French Intellectual Property Code). Any use not provided for requires prior written agreement.
The licence is subject to full payment of the price. The client is asked, where possible, to credit "Photo: BUNKAIO" on any publication, and agrees not to distort the visuals (cropping and format adaptations are allowed).
On signing, the client chooses whether BUNKAIO may use the visuals for its portfolio and communication; this choice has no effect on the service or the price.
A consumer client has 14 days from signing the quote to withdraw, without giving a reason, by writing to contact@bunkaio.com.
If the service is scheduled before the end of this period, the client may expressly request (tick box on signing) that it starts before the period expires. If they withdraw after the service has started, they pay for the part already performed; the right of withdrawal is lost once the service has been fully performed, with the client's prior express agreement and waiver of that right.
This right does not apply to business clients acting within their professional activity.
BUNKAIO has an obligation of best efforts. It is liable for damage resulting from its fault under ordinary law; towards business clients, its liability is limited to the amount of the service, except in case of gross negligence or wilful misconduct. It is not liable for delays or impossibility caused by force majeure.
BUNKAIO cannot be held liable for loss or damage to files not attributable to it after the retention period.

For any complaint, first write to contact@bunkaio.com: we undertake to reply promptly.
if a dispute with BUNKAIO remains unresolved, the consumer may use a consumer mediator free of charge, after a first written complaint sent to contact@bunkaio.com. The mediator's contact details are provided on request.
These terms are governed by French law. A consumer client may bring proceedings before the court of the place where they lived when the contract was concluded or when the damaging event occurred. For business clients, failing an amicable settlement, the competent French courts will hear the dispute.

Your portfolio on Adobe Lightroom
Your album is hosted on Adobe Lightroom: you only need to create an Adobe Lightroom account to open it. Your photos stay available at any time; post-production remains interactive, adjustments can be made if needed, and you export your visuals in the formats of your choice, on your own. The use of your visuals follows the assigned rights negotiated in your signed quote.
